Tonight is the night I've spent six long, empty months waiting for.
No, I'm not having sex, not even with another person.
Tonight is the night that Hugh Laurie finally limps back into my living room for another season of House, making this day a glorious combination of Christmas, my birthday, and that time I found $50 in the J. Crew dressing room.
Last season ended with the two episode gut punch "House's Head/Wilson's Heart" in which we learned that House got hammered and called Wilson's girlfriend Amber the Cutthroat Bitch to retrieve him from the bar. Unfortunately, they relied on public transportation to get them home, took a brief detour to Fierycrashville, and House lived while Amber learned that the afterlife looks exactly like a city bus. I briefly considered liveblogging tonight's episode but I can imagine that everyone would quickly tire of observations like "HUGH LAURIE IS LOOKING AT ME! HE IS TOTALLY STARING AT ME THROUGH THE TELEVISION. SEE ME HUGH! SEE ME!"
But that doesn't mean that I'm not going to be sitting on the sofa, twirling my official replica cane, and wondering if it's safe to lick the screen.

I am in love with House... and I watched the season finale twice last night (I love time shifting) preparing for tonights wonderful occasion. Only a couple of hours until complete bliss.
The couch is too far from the screen... must...be.. closer to him and have the space to jump up and down excitingly when he insults people! Can't get enough.
Make sure the screen isn't dusty first. Its perfectly acceptable to lick the screen if Hugh Laurie is on it. Or the hot Australian.
I can't friggin WAIT!
I hope the episode involves a medical mystery that can't be solved without the requisite elements of misdiagnosis, verbal abuse, angry co-workers, rebellious behaviour and an Angela Landsbury-esque "Eureka" moment.
Uggghh. Another fucking season of this. I am pretty sure House's leg injury resulted from dead horse flogging-related activities.
OMG, OMG, OMG (and I'm so not that girl), I can't wait. I'm practically itchy for the premier. Mmmmmm, grouchy damaged doctors....
Oh how I have missed your House obsessed blogs. Wish I didn't have class tonight or I would be watching it too.

The boyfriend just got me into House, and I'm slowly trying to catch up. Only at the beginning of the second season right now, so I have a long way to go before I can start watching live. I hope I don't have to skip sections of your blog for too long! Just be sure to give some spoiler warnings, please :)

I don't even watch "House" and this totally cracked me up! I can only imagine how much I'd laugh if I knew what we were talking about.
Now I wish I watched House. I can totally understand you on the running thing and on the baseball thing (though I'm a Cardinals fan and am still bitter against the BoSox after '04...no, I'll never like them), but House, I'm at a loss. Mental note: watch House.
