Forty Three

There's a scene near the end of A Fish Called Wanda when Archie Leach (John Cleese) has ruined his marriage, bungled his law career, and gotten slugged in the face. The dust settles around him in the just-emptied courtroom as he rubs his jaw, adjusts his wig, and says "Well. That's it then."

I felt exactly the same way at the end of the Super Bowl last night. I could click out several more paragraphs about how it feels to get punched in the soul, to ask why 'Zona didn't air it out more in the first half, or how their D could POSSIBLY give up that game-winning, heart-skewering TD. But I won't. Instead I'll let this vid speak for me and it's saying "You know things have gone to shit when you have to use a Nazareth song to express your feelings."

Yeah. That's it then.

Oh girl,I know it's tough right now but...you'll get through it.

Another quote from Wanda sums up my feelings exactly.

Otto at the safe

Disappointed!

Man, really wolfin' it down there. Nice make out session with the doll there to boot. Sorry about the Super Bowl result. Next year, man, next year.

please put the plastic figurine down! haha - great video. i mean, it's terrible - but great. as an eagles fan i'm well acquainted with the "better luck next year" motto, and while it's totally unhelpful - better luck next year.

I was pulling for them, I thought they were going to do it there for a while.

You damn sure did handle it well, and don't let anyone tell you different! I also thought they had it in the bag.

What's wrong with a Nazareth song?

You just made my day! What a great video :)

That is just so sad. Here's hoping Kurt Warner's wife is so disappointed in him, she divorces him and he finds his way to you. What? That could happen!

That was impressive JMoney...managing to look so good while looking so pitiful :P

P.S. You took that jager like a champ.

The last two scores of the game, by the Cardinals and then the Steelers, shows just how well the "prevent" defense works.

But it was an exciting game. Down to the last second. Something not common at Super Bowls.

Hey I just thought of something. We want to see a "what if the Cardinals won" video!

Hey, I totally called the vodka chugging!

Which is better than the ranch dressing chugging. That's just WRONG.

Also, I'm sorry about the sucktasticness of this all which involves both dogs and quarters.

It was a hell of a game. Gotta love those Cards! Even the lizards and rattlesnakes watched that game here last night.

I know the feeling. I'm not so into football, but I felt this way when the Lakers lost to the Celtics in last year's NBA finals. Being let down by your team is the worst!

That was hilarious. I'm sorry for your, and Kurt's loss, but he played well!

...outside of the last part of...well, never mind.

That video is hysterical. Love the ending. :)

Wow, that was a funny video. I was rooting for the Cardinals, but after seeing your video, I don't think I can claim any kind of allegiance. I'll go back to being a bystander.

Maybe things would have gone differently if House had been in the celebrity lineup at the game.

J-Money, I would totally marry you.

As a die hard fan of the Red Sox, I feel your pain and disappointment.

I was rooting for the Cards (in lieu of the Patriots being in the big game obviously) but I do think Ben Roethlisberger is a big sexy manbeast.

I've order two of these for you so you can continue your party.

The music was def a nice touch. I may not be a die hard Cardinals fan, but was def rooting for them... Crappy crappy.

P.S. Fuck the Steelers!

Watching you chug the Jaeger was about as nauseating as that 100yd interception slash TD, yet entertaining nonetheless.

As a native Clevelander I was born with the predisposition to hate the Steelers. So, I think I had 18 mini-aneurysms at the conclusion of the game.

Damn, girl, you are so cute and so clever and so disgustingly tech savvy. And I gained 10 pounds just watching your video!

I felt like such a traitor watching the game...knowing you were a Cards fan & also knowing that I had to live with my hubby (sadly, not you) if I didn't cheer for the Steelers.

I'm sorry for your loss. =( Thank you for the sacrifice!!!

The last Super Bowl I watched might of been about 10 years ago (it's on far too early in the morning over here in UK/Europe) but, and no offence here, no team called "Cardinals" was going to win that.
From what, limited, knowledge I have of gridiron (don't get me started on football vs soccer) you need to have awsome names.
Otherwise next years Super Bowl will be won by franchises with names picked out of a Hallmark card.

PS great video.

Grrr...apparently your video pissed off someone on the Malaysian censorshp boards because I get the message "This video is not available in your country or domain." First iTunes and now this. Do they think censorship is going to convert me to Islam.

We should all be pretty excited that the Cardinals actually made it to the Super Bowl. By getting there, they basically won.

very nice work. I'm not sure what I'd have done if I were in your shoes, but I suspect it would involve damage to the surroundings. The thought of taping my postgame reaction would not have occurred to me, assuming something would have been left to tape it with.

Then again, by the time the Lions reach a Super Bowl, I'm sure voice-activated holographic recording equipment will be standard in every house, so it'll be easy for me to tape myself as I wave my bionic arms and legs around in despair.

right. Anyway, sorry about your loss. As long as the defense plays well and Larry Fitzgerald is around, you'll have a shot next season, even if things change and Warner is replaced by what's-his-name.

Of course in that case, it probably wouldn't matter to you, so forget that last part. I'm sure he's coming back.
